Belarus won 10 medals, including four gold medals, on day seven of the 2nd European Games in Minsk, BelTA has learned. Team Belarus was triumphant at Zaslavl Regatta Course. The first gold medal of the day was added to Belarus' medal count by Volha Khudzenka who won the Women's K1 500m final. Soon after that Maryna Litvinchuk clinched the second gold medal in Women's K1 5000m. The collection of Belarusian medals grew larger with the gold medals won by Artsem Kozyr and Alena Nazdrova in 200m races. Nadzeya Makarchanka and Volha Klimava won the Women's C2 500m silver. Another silver was claimed by the Belarusian quartet of Marharyta Makhneva, Nadzeya Papok, Volha Khudzenka and Maryna Litvinchuk in the K4 500m event. Apart from that, Volha Khudzenka and Maryna Litvinchuk were third in the K2 200m event. So was Dzmitry Tratsiakou in the Men's K1 200m. All in all, Belarus won 10 medals (5 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze) in Canoe Sprint at the 2nd European Games. Three-time European silver medalist Aliaksandr Hushtyn clinched bronze in Men's Freestyle-97kg. Cyclist Yauheni Karaliok was third in Men's Scratch in Minsk Arena. Three days before the closing of the 2nd European Games, Belarus goes second in the overall medal standings with 55 (19 gold, 13 silver, 23 bronze) medals. Russia tops the medal table with 71 (31, 16, 24) medals.
